Amazing Book!

This is one of the best books I've read about authority as a Christian. The author takes the bible and breaks it down in a way that you can relate to in this day and age. The biggest complaint I hear about the bible is that it was written forever ago, it doesn't apply to how we live today, but this book helps to show just how much things really haven't changed over the years. If you want to know why Jesus Christ died for you, what that really means and why it's so significant, read this book!

This is a Game Changer!

This book changed my prayer life! I was able to implement the lessons before I was even half way through it, and it changed my life.
And the author, Gene Herndon, writes with style and humor, so it's not like reading a text book.
If you want to really get your faith moving, this book will get it going.
I'm not one to give all pros and no cons in reviews, so the con is I wish it was written sooner!

About the Author
Toshio Yamazaki is Professor of Business Administration at the Ritsumeikan University, where he has taught since 2001. He previously served as Associate Professor at Ritsumeikan University and Kochi University. He received his BA and MA in Commerce at Doshisha University, and Ph.D in Business Administration at Ritsumeikan University. His research specialties include business policy and business management in Germany after World War II.

This statistics book got me through the muddiness that was my Statistics lectures. When you can't understand the words coming out of your professor's mouth, dive into this book for clarification. It's strategic, using efficient stages to set up your knowledge base for the next piece of statistical information. I'd never taken a statistics class before, and I can't claim to be brilliant at math, but this book helped me pass my class with an "A". (So did my TA tutor, god bless him.)

About the Author
Stephen Cecchetti is currently Professor of International Economics and Finance at the International Business School, Brandeis University, and Director of Research at the Rosenberg Institute for Global Finance. He is also a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research, an organization of distinguished academic economists who specialize in policy-oriented empirical studies of national and world economies, and a consultant to central banks around the world. He is currently serving as a consultant to the European Central Bank's Inflation Persistence Project. Prior to joining the faculty at Brandeis, he was Professor of Economics at Ohio State University. From August 1997 to September 1999, he was Executive Vice President and Director of Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, as well as Associate Economist of the Federal Open Market Committee. Professor Cecchetti received a S.B. in Economics from M.I.T. in 1977, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley in 1982.

Compared to the previous version, this version is under my expectation.

I expected to get more information about Ebola, especially the assessment of evidence based practices in prevention of EDV, such as development of new vaccine, new prophylaxis, as well as treatment.
The layout of text on paper is very tight with narrow margins. Moreover, there is no enough figures and tables to demonstrate epidemiological data to show evidence from the field.

Regardless to those limitations, this manual is very important reference for those who work in the field of epidemiology and disease prevention.

Life-changing book delivers a new understanding of behavior

This phenomenal book was life-changing, compelling, fascinating and educational. It is vital for individuals and communities alike to understand that force breeds repercussions. You might get what you want in the short term, but the fallout is considerable and not to be dismissed. The first half of book is absolutely invaluable.

Sidman also offers suggestions for implementation in the second half, but I thought Karen Pryor did a better job (at least on a personal level) in Don't Shoot the Dog, offering various other methods besides coercion for your friends, family, acquaintances, and co-workers.

Together, the two books deliver a good underpinning of understanding and terrific suggestions for influencing without coercing. :)

Interesting book. Sets a good example for where the world should be headed and how behavior analysis fits in. A good book for anyone in the field as it raises many appropriate concerns about how we manage behaviors both at work and with each other. Definitely changed my view and how I work.

Captivating book with a powerful message

Dr. Lauren Wright discusses a timely and fascinating topic; she reports on the role and influence of presidential spouses in White House communications. Grounded in empirical research findings, and in depth interviews with members of previous presidential staff, she shines light on the intimate relationship between our country's First Ladies, the messages they convey, and the American citizens' ebbs and flows in political views. Dr. Wright tackles a novel topic, which to date, remains understudied. Her message and delivery is clear and compelling. This book serves as a tremendous resource for both the lay citizen and academic scholar. Ten stars for a 5 star review!

Wonderful book that takes a scholarly approach to understanding the role of first ladies. The book is packed with information from interviews with former White House staff, speech analyses, and surveys. Absolutely fascinating, groundbreaking, and intelligible. Highly recommended for any person interested in political science or communications!!!
