Informative & can be useful if used correctly

This is a great book, very informative & useful, but only if you are willing to put in the work. Changing your brain and your lifestyle habits takes effort and practice, so be ready to use this as a tool because you can't just read it, you have to apply it to your daily life. Just a warning...this book will help if you are willing to put the time & effort into it. Otherwise, don't bother.

This is probably the best book I have read on this subject in 15 years. It really does explain and help me to understand why I see things the way I do and how that effects the level of anxiety I experience, this information allows me to have a focus point and diffuse some of the more minor episodes. However, understanding and applying the changes are different. This book will tell you how, but actually making the changes on your own can be difficult and may require outside help, but the book is honest enough to tell you that as well.

Very helpful, useful book.

My husband and I are reading this together at the suggestion of a therapist. It helps identify "faulty thinking" patterns and learn to recognize them in yourself and find truer alternatives to make your life better! There are plenty of questions and exercises to do, so it's not just a passive read.
