About the Author
Karma Yeshe Rabgye is a Western Buddhist monk, originally from England, who now lives at Ashoka Buddhist Temple in India. Having taken his vows from H. E. Tai Situ Rinpoche in Sherabling Monastery, Yeshe has studied with such notable figures as the fourteenth Dalai Lama and seventeenth Karmapa. He also helped found the nonprofit Indian organization Sangye-Menla Patients Charitable Trust in 2008. He is the author of The Best Way to Catch a Snake and Life’s Meandering Path. Yeshe currently lives in northern India, where he teaches Buddhism, meditation classes and mindfulness in schools. The Buddha's wisdom for daily life

Karma Yeshe Rabgye's third book provides some more morsels of practical wisdom from the Buddha for us to chew on. The book begins with an easy to follow introduction to the four noble truths, the first teaching the Buddha gave following his enlightenment. The second half of the book consists of some bite-size reflections where Yeshe has applied the Buddha's teachings to everyday life. I found these chapters perfect to fill a twenty minute break in my schedule as they are short and self contained. The advice is simple and clear, for example how to revisit the relationships you have with those around you to bring more peace or happiness in your life, or how to come to terms with the impermanent nature of the things around us so we can avoid unnecessary disappointment. The book is easy to read, but requires reflection and contemplation if you want to apply the guidance it offers.
